Geraldine A. Ferraro, following her historic campaign as the first woman vice presidential candidate on a national party ticket, continues to be active in the United States and abroad as a lecturer, author and policy expert. Ms. Ferraro formed a political action committee called Americans Concerned for Tomorrow. She is a board member of the National Democratic Institute of International Affairs and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. Ms. Ferraro served three terms in the U.S. House of Representatives for New York's Ninth Congressional District. Between 1981 and 1984, Ms. Ferraro was twice elected as Secretary of the House Democratic Caucus and served on the Budget Committee, Committee on Public Works and Transportation, and the Select Committee on Aging.
