Negotiating Change: How We Took on Some of the World's Toughest Problems and Sometimes Succeeded - led by Wendy Sherman

Description

Starting at the End of the Process

The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, negotiated with the P5+1, the EU and Iran, will have just been voted on by Congress and perhaps vetoed by the President and voted again.  Candy Crowley, IOP Fellow and former anchor of CNN's State of the Union and Marie Harf, former State Department deputy spokesperson and current senior advisor on strategic communications and member of the Iran team will be guests to discuss the politics of the deal.  We'll talk about how the media covers such a deal, how a WH war room works and interacts with Congress, the media and the public and how an administration manages the politics of a high profile negotiation.
