Jobs, Jobs, Jobs: The Role of Entrepreneurship in U.S. Competitiveness led by Karen Mills

Description

Job Creation: The Impact of Small Businesses and Entrepreneurs

Small businesses are the driver of the U.S. economy, creating two out of every three net new jobs.  But not all small businesses are created equal: high-growth entrepreneurial companies -- and those that participate in the big-business supply chain-- account for most of the job creation. Drawing from her experience as a venture capital executive and as administrator for the U.S. Small Business Administration, Ms. Mills will discuss the qualities that make businesses succeed and the policies needed to keep the economic engine firing.
