Criteria for participation: All Harvard undergraduates can contribute to the HPR and there is no application process, simply contact us or attend one of our meetings to get involved. To become a staff writer, you must complete the following comp requirements: write an article, help with three other parts of the magazine (such as circulation or the Front Section), sell 5 subscriptions or an advertisement (or another contribution to HPR Business,) and attend at least half of our weekly meetings..
Prerequisites: None; it is possible to be published without completing the comp.
Time Commitment: We meet for an hour every Wednesday from 7-8 p.m. at the IOP. Additional time commitment is required when writing an article.
Levels of Involvement: Contributing Writer, Staff Writer, Senior Writer, Editorial Board.
Selection: We have a rolling comp meaning you can begin and complete your comp at your convenience. We add Staff Writers throughout the semester; Senior Writers are selected at the end of each semester; Editorial Board elections occur in December.
