Criteria for participation: We look for tutors with a deep interest in issues of citizenship and a desire to share their love of American politics and history with others. Past tutoring experiences and foreign language abilities are helpful, though not required.
Prerequisites: None
Time Commitment: 1 hour tutoring per week (arranged at
the tutor’s convenience), 2 monthly group meetings, and 1
monthly dinner discussion event.
Levels of Involvement: Citizenship Tutors, Curriculum
Committee members. The Curriculum Committee is open
to all tutors who are also interested in helping develop the
curriculum that will be taught to tutees.
Selection: At the start of fall and spring semesters and on a
rolling basis, although most tutors are selected at the start of
the fall semester. Selection in the spring and during semesters
is limited based on the availability of adults to tutor.
