Summer in Washington Program

The Institute of Politics' (IOP) Summer in Washington Program (SIW) aims to extend students' experiences at the Institute of Politics during the academic year to their time in the summer. The IOP, alongside a hired undergraduate Summer in Washington Program Coordinator, Jeffrey Solnet, will work together to coordinate a variety of events including behind the scenes tours, a special speaker series, and fun social activities. In the process, students will have the opportunity to meet and interact with not just Washington politicians, journalists, and other politicos but also fellow Harvard students. IOP hopes to offer a wide variety of events for every student and nearly all of the events will be free or offered at a minimal cost.
