The Institute of Politics Student Advisory Committee (SAC) Alumni Scholarship represents a new stage in the mission of the Institute. Dedicated to inspiring students into a life of politics, public service and leadership, this scholarship furthers the mission by providing a full, one year scholarship to a SAC alumnus(a) to enhance his or her educational experience at the Kennedy School of Government.
Candidates for the Institute of Politics SAC Alumni Scholarship are individuals who were members of the Student Advisory Committee and wish to earn a degree from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard. The Scholar will receive one year of tuition at the Kennedy School of Government. If applying for a joint degree with any other Harvard school, the scholarship will cover only the Kennedy School portion of tuition.
Selection is based on participation on the Student Advisory Committee, commitment to politics and public service, leadership ability, and intellectual and academic achievements. Priority will be given to those candidates seeking an MPP or MPA-2, but those admitted to the Mid-Career Program and Executive Education Programs are also encouraged to apply. The scholarship is available for renewal upon reapplication at the end of the first year.
