In June, 2007, Fall 2005 IOP Fellow and former U.S. Representative (D-TX) Martin Frost was named the new President of America Votes, a coalition of some of the largest membership-based groups in the country who have come together to increase voter registration, education and participation in electoral politics.  America Votes coalition partners make up the largest progressive voter mobilization turnout effort for 2008 with 37 national partners and more than 265 state-based partners in nine key states.  For more information on America Votes, visit www.americavotes.org.
