The Honorable Jeh Johnson, U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security addressed the John F. Kennedy Jr. Forum regarding the responsibilities and goals of the Department of Homeland Security. He cited terrorism and cyber security as the cornerstones of his department and emphasized the importance of working at a local level in dealing with both of these issues. Secretary Johnson also spoke of immigration as one of the most difficult tasks of his department, as he must emphasize border security while also working with the current undocumented population in this country. The forum was moderated by Graham Allison, the director of the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.
