William E. Buzenberg is Vice President of News and Information for National Public Radio. In March 1997, he began a sabbatical to finish editing the papers and memoirs of the late CBS News President Richard Sala (The Battle for the Soul of Broadcast Journalism). Prior to becoming Vice President, Buzenberg was Managing Editor for NPR News, Foreign Correspondent and London Bureau Chief in the London Bureau, and began his career with NPR as Foreign Affairs Correspondent in Washington, DC.
