Jonathan Schwartz

Jonathan D. Schwartz is Associate Deputy Attorney General at the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington, D.C., where he has served since 1995. Previously, he was a law clerk for Justice Thurgood Marshall on the U.S. Supreme Court and for Judge Harry T. Edwards of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. After working at a Manhattan law firm, Mr. Schwartz joined the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York. Mr. Schwartz is a 1983 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and received a Fulbright Scholarship to attend Cambridge University, where he earned an M. Phil. with distinction in international relations.
