Jerry Mechling was New York City's Environmental Protection Administration, where he was Assistant Administrator from Program Analysis and Development. He joined the administration in 1968 after a year as Aide to the Mayor of New York City and a preceding year in the U.S. Department of Health, Education and Welfare.
