Elaine Ruth Jones works for the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund and directs the Legal Defense Fund's legislative program. Ms. Jones previously served from 1975 to 1977 as Special Assistant to the Secretary in the U.S. Department of Transportation after having worked as a staff attorney for the NAACP Legal Defense & Educational Fund for five years.
