Eilizabeth A. Reid

Elizabeth Anne Reid is advisor to the Prime Minister Whitlam of Australia with particular responsibility for matters relating to the welfare of women. She is also convener of the Australian National Advisory Committee for International Women's Year, leader of the Australian delegation to the World Conference for International Women's Years 1975 and to the preparatory United Nations Consultative Committee during which the World plan of Action was redrafted, and was the Australian Representative to the U.N. Forum on the Role of Women in Population and Development in 1974. Previously, Ms. Reid was a senior tutor in Philosophy at Australian National University, a part-time tutor in Philosophy at St. Clare's Hall in Oxford, and programmer then training officer for Australia and the Pacific for Control Data Australia.
