Albert Gore has served in the House of Representatives from 1939 to 1953. He was a member of the Senate Committees on Finance and on Foreign Relations; of subcommittees on Disarmament (Chairman), Far Eastern Affairs, and State Department Organization and Public Affairs; of the Joint Committee on Atomic Energy; of the subcommittees on Agreements for Cooperation (Chairman), Communities, Legislation, and the subcommittee on Research, Development and Radiation.
