Beyond The Campaign Tactics: The Intersection of Politics and Policy

Rallies, paid advertising, debates and staged events help make the case for policies in an election. Immense planning and preparation go into these tactics. Rallies were a major element of President Trump’s campaign. Debates have been turning points in presidential elections, perhaps most notably in the 2000 campaign between Vice President Al Gore and Texas Governor George W. Bush.

Guests: David Bossie, President of Citizens United and former Deputy Campaign Manager of the Trump-Pence campaign, and Neil Patel, Co-founder, Daily Caller, and former Chief Policy Advisor to Vice President Dick Cheney.
