What is the deadline for requesting an absentee ballot?
The application must be received by the clerk no later than 5:00 PM on the Friday before Election Day in order for an absentee ballot to be mailed to you:
February 15 for the Primary Election
October 31for the General Election

Request an absentee ballot in person at your municipal clerk’s office. This can be done up until 5:00 PM on the day before Election Day:
February 18 for the Primary Election
November 3 for the General Election

What is the voting procedure?

Follow the instructions included with your ballot.

What are the deadlines for voting absentee?
Absentee ballots must be received by the poll workers or clerk no later than Election Day:
Primary Election: February 19
General Election: November 4

What are the election dates and deadlines for 2008?
By-mail voter registration closes 13 days prior to Election Day.

Are there requirements for first-time voters?

No.

As of January 1, 2006, all municipalities in WI require voter registration prior to a person being allowed to vote.
