How do I request an absentee ballot?
Contact your local Voter Registration Office to request an absentee ballot application. You can download the form here.

Where do I send the request?

You can return the completed application to your local voter registration office either by mail or fax. To locate your local registrar’s office, go here.

What is the deadline for requesting an absentee ballot?
To receive a ballot by mail, the application must be received by the Tuesday before Election Day:
October28 for the General Election

An in-person application may be completed in the office of the general registrar, and the applicant must sign the application in the presence of a registrar or the secretary of the electoral board. The application must be made more than three days prior to Election Day.

What is the voting procedure?

Follow the instructions on your ballot, sign, and return to the County Auditor. An addressed return envelope is provided with your absentee ballot.

What are the deadlines for voting absentee?
Voted ballots must be received by 7:00 pm on Election Day:
General Election: November 4

What are the election dates and deadlines for 2008?

General Election: November 4
By-mail voter registration must be received 29 days prior to Election Day.
