How do I request an absentee ballot?
All elections in Oregon are Vote by Mail.
You must mail or fax a letter to your county elections office (see below) including your name, Oregon residence address, address to which you want the ballot sent, and your signature. Contact your County Elections Office for more information.
Where do I send the request?
A list of county elections offices is available here.
What is the deadline for requesting an absentee ballot?
There is no official deadline, but keep in mind that your request must be processed, your ballot must be sent to you, and returned to the county elections office by Election Day, so make sure to request your ballot several weeks before Election Day. Applications for absentee ballots are made available 45 days before an election.
