How do I request an absentee ballot?
Absentee voting is now called Early Voting in Nebraska. Print out an online request form here, or contact your county clerk with a written request.

What is the deadline for requesting an absentee ballot?
The deadline to request an absentee ballot by mail is 4:00 pm the Wednesday before Election Day:
October 29 for the General Election
Absentee ballot request forms will be accepted 120 days prior to Election Day, and up until the deadline. You may mail or fax your request to your County Clerk or Election Commissioner
In-person absentee voting is open from 35 days before Election Day until the Monday before Election Day:
November 3 for the General Election
What is the voting procedure?
Any registered voter can vote absentee. Fill out the necessary information to request a ballot, and return it to the county clerk. They will mail out a ballot to you. Fill out the ballot and return it.
What are the deadlines for voting absentee?
Ballots must be received by mail 8:00 pm CST on Election Day.

What are the election dates and deadlines for 2008?
General Election: November 4
Mail-in voter registration must be postmarked by the third Friday prior to Election Day for the voter to be eligible for that election.
