What is the deadline for requesting an absentee ballot?

Applications for an absentee ballot are available from 75 days before Election Day until noon on the day before Election Day:
June 2 for the Primary Election
November 3 for the General Election

What is the voting procedure?

Mark your ballot appropriately and return it, in the envelope provided, to your local election office.

What are the deadlines for voting absentee?

Ballots must be received in your local election office before the polls close on Election Day:
Primary Election: June 3
General Election: November 4

What are the election dates and deadlines for 2008?
Primary Election: June 3 (Registration closes May 8)
General Election: November 4 (Registration closes October 6)

Are there requirements for first-time voters?

No.

Between 75 and 45 days before Election Day, absentee voting is available in person in your local election office. Go to the office, fill out an application, and vote – all in one day!
