Where do I send the request?

Applications should be mailed to your local election official. A list of county clerks and election officials (alphabetical by county) is available here.

What is the deadline for requesting an absentee ballot?
Applications for an absentee ballot must be received by your local election official by 5:00 pm on the Wednesday before Election Day:
January 30 for the Primary Election
October 29 for the General Election

What is the voting procedure?
According to the state’s website, “All absentee ballots must be notarized with the exception of the following: Missouri residents outside the U.S. including military on active duty and their immediate family members, permanently disabled voters and those voting absentee due to illness or physical disability (115.283.6 and 115.283.7) and a caregiver as defined in 115.277.1(2).”

What are the deadlines for voting absentee?
Absentee ballots must be received by the local election authority by the time the polls close on Election Day:
Primary Election: February 5
General Election: November 4

Voter registration closes at 5 PM on the fourth Wednesday prior to Election Day.

Are there requirements for first-time voters?
