How do I request an absentee ballot?
Print out and complete the form to request an absentee ballot found here.
Where do I send the request?
Mail or fax the completed form to your county election board. Contact information is available on the second page of the application.
What is the deadline for requesting an absentee ballot?
Absentee ballots can be requested as early as 90 days before Election Day and all applications must be received at least 8 days before the Election Day:
October 27 for the General Election
What is the voting procedure?
Simply complete your ballot and return it to your county election board by mail.
What are the deadlines for voting absentee?
Ballots must be received in the office of the county clerk by noon the Monday before Election Day:
November 3 for the General Election
Absentee voting is also available in the county clerk’s office from 29 days before Election Day until noon of the day before Election Day. An application for this kind of absentee voting may also be found online here.
What are the election dates and deadlines for 2008?
General Election: November 4 (Registration closes October 6)

Are there requirements for first-time voters?
You may be required to provide identification before voting an absentee ballot by mail if you registered to vote by mail. Contact your county election board or your county voter registration office for more information. Find contact information here.
